It sounds like gift-giving is her love language. Maybe just graciously receive the gifts and then donate them to families that can’t afford a Christmas at all. I grew up in Foster care and even just getting a few things that I could use was really nice. Might be a win-win situation for everyone. My husband and I are the grandparents, We give each child fifty dollars, one pair pajamas, and a few items that they can use. Ages 3,4 and 6 now. They get so many toys from other people that Let It Snowman Christmas Tree Hand shirt just overwhelming for them and us.

Sounds like what I do as a parent. I don’t buy my kids anything but some clothes and a couple things they actually need because I know they’ll be inundated with stuff from family. This is a great idea! My sister did this last year and they bought their family a year pass to a large amusement park AND all the additional Let It Snowman Christmas Tree Hand shirt. If my mom could gift an experience and one or two physical gifts that would be amazing. Of note, my mom grew up poor with many siblings and did not have a lot of belongings. This definitely plays into why she values belongings so highly.

I’ve found with my family, it really helps to ask for specific things; otherwise, I’ll end up with a bunch of stuff nobody wants. Experiences like passes to museums, amusement parks, movie tickets, etc. are fantastic gifts. And ultimately, once you’ve received a gift, you can do whatever TF you want with Let It Snowman Christmas Tree Hand shirt – set it on fire, donate it to Goodwill, keep it in the closet forever and feeling guilty anytime you look at it. But it’s your possession and your choice. Tell your mom now that this year you will only be accepting a top of 3 gifts from her and nothing more. Tell her you don’t have use to those objects and that you actually would rather that she used the money to take your family out for dinner at X restaurant. Anything else will be directly donated without being open.
