Hey guys and girls! Back with my second Escher done. Let Them Hate As Long As They Fear Skull XII shirt in mind while painting this Champion was trying to combine the bright, psychedelic colors of these psychotic fighters while marrying this to the dirt, grime and industrial-esque vibe you’d expect from a dystopian future. I wanted the feathers, hair, and armor and boots to stand out, while the pants, weapons and other bits to look more work-woman like, the kind of thing you’d find in a hive city. As such the plasma pistol has heat damage, there’s dirt and grime in the recesses of the boots, she’s got a buzz cut on one side and so on.

Given the Eschers are known for Let Them Hate As Long As They Fear Skull XII shirt poisons, I wanted the sword in particularly to look menacing, almost black mental coated in something unknown – I’m really pleased with the result. Finally, I messed up when gluing the head, but rather than cut the glue-damage off, I thought I’d turn it into a feature as she already has a bionic eye, and painted the damage as a scar instead. She’s been through some fights, as you’d expect from a champion.

Really pleased with how Let Them Hate As Long As They Fear Skull XII shirt came out and I’m far less worried making messes with the glue now. I love it! Well, not love, I mean I know enough to know he and Nero were pretty awful. Thanks for the context. The phrase came about as a result of the people’s open hatred towards Caligula. This didn’t bother the emperor of Rome as he was, well, the emperor of Rome(and he had an army to deal with any true rivals). Thus was born his favored utterance; “Let them hate me, so long as they fear me”. Fear him they did though, quite a bit. All the way until he died.
