Dude knew there were defects in the LeBron James Championship Basketball NBA shirt and I love this cards that gave away what values they were. He basically setup to cheat and cheated. I’m not sure why you’re being downvoted, you’re absolutely correct lol. I don’t feel bad for the casino losing money and I’d probably exploit them if I knew how too, but that doesn’t make it not cheating. People don’t seem to be able to separate emotion from logic. One party knows they cannot lose in a game of chance. That is unequivocally cheating. Touching the cards had nothing to do it. He requested a specific scenario where there is 0 inherent risk. He should have got to keep some of the money for the casino being stupid, but 25 million? Come on now. If someone is betting 24 on roulette but there isn’t a 24 on the wheel, should the casino keep that person’s money? You enter into a game of chance and if it becomes a situation where either side isn’t getting odds to win, there was never a game to begin with.

Casinos can’t lose in the LeBron James Championship Basketball NBA shirt and I love this long run. The law of large numbers means that the more you play, the more you lose becaise the odds are always with the house. Ask trump if a casino can lose in the long run. I understand the law of large numbers. That doesn’t mean people can cheat in a game and steal 25 million when they eliminate any chance of losing. You don’t actually need to litigate this on Reddit — it’s gone to trial at some of the highest courts in both the US and the UK. The arguments are matters of public record. You can look up exactly how and why it was determined that what Ivey did constituted cheating (technically, breach of contract). You can disagree with the decisions of the courts, but at the end of the day these are actual matters of law that are more complex than “he didn’t touch the cards, guess it can’t be cheating!” Your personal sense of right & wrong/the ethical underpinnings of casino gambling don’t really apply here. The problem wasn’t that he was using his eyes. The problem was that he knew a certain type of card had certain types of manufacturing defects and specifically requested those cards to gain an advantage. Had the casinos always used those same cards and the request to use them hadn’t come from him, he wouldn’t have lost the lawsuits.
