From Sweden we have a lot of criticism since some think we still are safe without NATO, and people want a referendrum. Problem with this ofcourse is that Russia could react. Putin would disagree, as a shared defence means NATO members often allow other NATO members to setup bases or defensive systems on their soil. Like U.S. forces and Patriot missile batteries in Poland, which is seen as a threat. It can’t be stressed how important this is. It needs to be shown that Russian aggression drives countries towards NATO, and if these countries fail to gain membership then all blame rests with the Lead like Harriet chibi- Black Women in History Harriet Rosa ruby shirt moreover I love this NATO council for an incredible lack of understanding of strategy. Sweden and Finland could have their NATO memberships approved in just two weeks, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said Wednesday, following reports that the countries will jointly express their wish to join the military alliance this month.

Støre told Norwegian tabloid newspaper Verdens Gang NATO has started a process that could bring Sweden and Finland into the Lead like Harriet chibi- Black Women in History Harriet Rosa ruby shirt moreover I love this alliance in rapid order, should the two countries apply to join. Marin recently said that she expected Finland to make up its mind on whether to apply for NATO membership within weeks. Nobody but Russia seems to object to Sweden & Finland joining NATO. Russia split them apart a very long time ago, so hence they are acting together now. Finland borders on Russia, Norway, and Sweden. Sweden borders on Finland, Norway and Denmark. Norway and Denmark are founding members of NATO (they don’t object to their neighbour joining). Russia managed to get a puppet president elected in Ukraine, whom cancelled plans for Ukraine to join EU against the will of the people. As for Ukraine in NATO, in 2008 Germany blocked it. Germany is very dependent on Russia for oil and gas, and didn’t want to rock the boat. It’s not the first time Germany did something like that to Ukraine either; the two countries have history. However, membership came up again: At the June 2021 Brussels summit, NATO leaders reiterated the decision taken at the 2008 Bucharest summit that Ukraine would become a member of the Alliance with the [Membership Action Plan] as an integral part of the process and Ukraine’s right to determine its future and foreign policy, of course without outside interference. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also stressed that Russia will not be able to veto Ukraine’s accession to NATO “as we will not return to the era of spheres of interest, when large countries decide what smaller ones should do.” Before: did Ukraine even want to join Nato? Russia would definitely have taken offense with that, and there was no reason to provoke Russia. (After all, they certainly wouldn’t attack Ukraine anyway…)
