All of Diana’s fittings were done confidentially, and Emmanuel’s shop had to be covered in blinds and guarded by security.“We knew it had to be something that was going to go down in history, but also something that Diana loved,” Emmanuel said of designing the late princess’s dress. “And we knew it was going to be at St. Paul’s, so it had to be something that would fill the aisle and be quite dramatic.” That was surely accomplished—to this day Diana’s train remains the longest in royal history.
