Edit: I know we don’t have the Lauren Boebert American Clown shirt and by the same token and whole letter, perhaps she did write that sort of thing and it wasn’t included. — but I seriously cannot see this as anything other than a bit deranged Yeah, I read it on CNN. It is a pretty weird letter. Mom seems like a psycho…you have to wonder how much the family messed him up. My idea is that she suspected it, and she wanted her son to avoid life sentence. None of us have been in this situation as a parent, it’s hard to imagine how we would react. I’d like to think that I’d be absolutely devastated, then convince them to come back and get a lawyer before they were killed in a confrontation With LE or something. That’s easy to say. I imagine for most people it would take a lot of empathy to overcome their love for their son though, especially when they lack all the facts. You can still love your child and be horrified if he or she took another’s life. Empathy for Gabby and her family would be a normal emotion, even while also feeling devastated about what your own child would have to face for his actions. Girl, if a close loved one killed someone, I would turn their ass in because I figure I’m going to be next at some point because they’re a fucking murderer. I would turn my son in as fast as possible. He’s a murderer. Blood or not he should pay for his actions. This isn’t protecting a kid because they did something stupid. He murdered an innocent person. He could’ve walked away and still had his life. Instead he couldn’t control his temper and killed someone. No question how I would react.

Exactly. I’ll never understand why you don’t just walk away. Why ruin your life if you’re unhappy in a relationship. Just leave. Who in their right mind thinks like that? What educated, respectable person would ever condone that type of behavior? I guess we’ll never know. That’s a sane take though. I’d be pissed if I spent all that time and love raising a kid just for them to grow into an abuser and murderer. Idk. I have a 3 yr. I could be wrong but I wouldn’t help him hide the body. It comes down to empathy. Is your child more important than someone else’s child? Especially if your child chose to kill someone else’s child? As a parent you have two directives: keep your kid alive/ make sure no one hurts them; and make sure they don’t hurt others. Well if you’re not going to help a 3 year old bury the body, how the hell are they supposed to learn? No 3 year old has the upper body strength necessary to do it themselves! If a close family member killed their lover you can bet your ass im not helping them cover up that shit. Even if it’s my kid. I’d have to be a psychopath to pull that kind of bs.
