If you’re big into reps, that’s what you’re gonna see. The average person looks down on reps, as they always have. It’s the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon. Most people just wear simple leggings or tracksuits. Smarter non branded clothes on special occasions. Hardly anyone wears designer and even a smaller crowd wear reps People who hate on other’s wearing reps while they wear pretty much the exact same thing but pay 3x the price are very lame I agree, I bought so much shit only to never wear it. literally the only thing i wear are rep sweats & those $17 af1 then just stocked up on plain black shirts from zara. Why not just like….buy a different brand. Lots of options out there that aren’t trying to be something they aren’t…. Because reps have came a long way, most reps look 1:1. Back then they didn’t. I’m glad people are opening their eyes. 90% of my collection are 1:1 reps now, and I’ve been a sneaker head all my life. I bought my mom some rep and some real deseigner5 bags for Xmas. So I wouldn’t think it really affexts anything anyway. But I agree, most brands are complete BS on pricing. But they are selling a feeling of accomplishment. I have a big legit sneaker collection so only buy reps of shoes I refuse to pay 5x 100x resell on (Wotherspoon and Mars Yard) Got to the point in life where I’d rather spend £150 on reps and then flights to Europe for my family rather than spend £1000 on 2 garments. I don’t like the existence of fakes on their own, but it’s almost justifiable after the moves big brands make, high prices, and low production count skyrockets the prices in the resell market. Jusr as an example, it’s all nikes fault to make 3 pairs of Travis scott shoes for it to resell for thousands of dollars. But how can you know they are fakes? Like if I see many specific AJ1s I will assume they are fake because they are hard to get, but with most designer clothes I just cannot. Did the person save to get a legit one? Or did they just buy a rep?
