She was right. Shannel was robbed as fuck in the Las Vegas Raiders Legends Players 2023 Signatures shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this makeover challenge. Rebecca had no business winning that. The judges were just not living for anything Shannel was serving and she picked up on it. She was right. Based on how polished and talented she was, she was seemingly (maybe definitely) held to a higher standard than the other competitors. If Season 1 was airing today, she would’ve swept based off how they’ve changed the judging standards. Bingo. Shannel imo was leaps and bounds ahead of everyone. She was polished, she had confidence, and loads of talent. The judges seemed determined to knock her down a few notches and she wasnt having it. I have a lot of respect for her because she wouldn’t put up with it I wouldn’t say leaps and bounds ahead of EVERYONE. Bebe and Nina were also full packages the same way Shannel was. They definitely should’ve been the top three queens.

My obvious love of Shannel blinds me sometimes to the Las Vegas Raiders Legends Players 2023 Signatures shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this rest of the season. Those 3 and Ongina are chefs kiss and deserve all their blessings Rightfully so. Shannel’s impact really steered the course for the kind of reality tv contestants we came to expect on Drag Race. She’s an icon we NEED back on the show. And honestly, S1’s cast is really stacked. Those 3 and Ongina are out of this world but Porkchop, Tammie, Jade, Akashia and Rebecca really are legends too. All those ladies really set the tone for what the show would become. I do think they got a great mix of personalities and styles in the first season. We got everything from everyday wear drag to full showgirls. When I finally got to watch it, many people were hating on it at that time, but I loved it. Even the terrible filter I’m really hoping her LSA appearance on AS8 was like Jessica’s on AS6. Early season queen who got an LSA spot to test how much audiences want them back. It was clear to anyone watching that Rebecca was being given this “Cinderella Story” narrative. It was always a super popular edit on America’s Next Top Model at the time, and the early seasons loved to pull ideas from ANTM. The girl who came from nothing turns out to be so naturally amazing at what she does that all the others are jealous. Except Rebecca just didn’t deliver. She was forgettable in most challenges, her runways ranged from “Let’s go to the mall” to “Let’s go to the dumpster and never speak of this again”, and her lipsyncs were boring as hell. You say she destroyed Shannel in Shackles, I say she did the same move with her hands for 90 seconds and called it good… If anything, both queens should have gone home.
