Edit: The above says, “flexible work from home options available.” That usually means you can take work home with you at the Las Vegas Aces 2023 Wnba Finals Champions shirt But I will love this end of the day, and work in the office 40 hours a week at least. But I don’t have to drive 50 miles round trip each day, M-F. My new job is 12 miles round trip and I only have to do it 2x a week. I figure saving $50 of gas each week plus wear and tear in the car will make up a lot of the lack of pay increase So interesting because the argument in early 2020 with COVID was that people should get paid more to work from home. You use your own hardware, internet, electricity. Now we are like hey I’ll take a pay cut to work from home I recently switched to a position where I only earn ~$100 more annually, but the benefits and location are absolutely bonkers. That said, my situation isn’t typical, and this job posting gives me more “shitty management” vibes than anything else. Hey it’s me, your “past employer.” Yeah, I totally paid you $105k a year. It’s too bad I lost you, bro, I mean, employee of mine. I just couldn’t offer you remote work and you had to leave and go work elsewhere. This could be to limit it to desperate candidates, avoid job hoppers, or to ensure they aren’t getting anyone too competent. Maybe it has other benefits? I’ve made lateral salary movements in my career. Especially when you are moving to an adjacent field.

There’s other things too, maybe one is 100k but in office 5 days a week and another is still 100k but remote. I can promise you a lot of people on here would jump on that transition. Also maybe benefits are much better? I had some places with shit high deductible insurance and applied to places that pays the Las Vegas Aces 2023 Wnba Finals Champions shirt But I will love this premiums for you. Improved PTO or work life balance could be a thing? Had a friend making 60k AFTER working 20 hours of overtime a week and then found a gig where she got about the same without working any overtime. Read the above advert, it says, “flexible work from home options available.” That nearly always means, yeah, you will work in the office full time. The likelihood of finding someone who earns $100K, and has worse terms and conditions , who is willing to move for the exact same money is low.
