This is no longer an accurate diagram, the Lana Del Rey Smoking Elizabeth Woolridge Grant T-Shirt In addition,I will do this ‘Free Syrian army’ doesn’t really exist as an entity anymore, and neither does Jabhat Fateh Al Sham or the Syrian Democratic Forces. The Syrian Opposition is mainly comprised of two main factions, the Syrian Salvation Government, mainly composed of Islamist groups (including Jabhat Fateh Al Sham, formerly Al Nusra/Al Qaeda in Syria) and the Syrian Interim Government, which are mainly Turkish-backed ethnic nationalists. The SDF is now the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) backed by the US-led coalition against ISIS (although they are currently at odds with the Syrian Government and Iran). Ironically, the stagnation of the war, and the consolidation of power from the Turkish-backed groups and the Islamist infighting, has led to the conflict being far simpler than it once was.

Is there anything about Rojava that isn’t badass? They should’ve been wiped off the Lana Del Rey Smoking Elizabeth Woolridge Grant T-Shirt In addition,I will do this face of the earth years ago, but still persist This chart is at least 7-8 years old by now, I used this exact chart for a presentation in my first year of high school and I now have one year left of college I’m more interested why the US supports both Free Syrian Army and Syrian Democratic Forces, despite them fighting each other There seems to be mostly two sides (Russia/Iran on one side, USA on the other) with a bunch of allies each. And then there’s mutual enemies and mutual allies. I mean America is literally trying to starve the Syrians via sanctions, stealing their oil and stealing their wheat even Trump boasted about it on TV. As Victoria Noland calls it the “maximum pressure” campaign, I call it starving the Syrians and keeping them as miserable as possible in the hopes that this will destabilize the government and lead to more bloody civil wars so that, again quoting Victoria Noland “We can shape the outcome because we own 30% of Syria, including all of the oil”. But you know, the US isn’t an empire or anything, they can just steal oil and “own” somebody else’s country for 10 years and say oh but we’re a democracy and we’re in it for the right reasons, sure, I totally believe that. And recognizing Israel’s conquering via force of the Golan Heights from Syria, that’s totally ok too, because countries the US likes can steal land from others, but not countries it doesn’t like. Everyone forgets about the YPJ. Its and all women Syrian Kurdish fighting force. ISIS is terrified by them, not just because they are fierce and highly effective units, but mainly because if you are killed by a woman, you don’t go to paradise lol.
