i had a crush on a friend a few years ago who wasn’t physically attractive, but his voice–good god, his voice–and his personality made him attractive. i wanted that man something fierce, and it wouldn’t have been because i couldn’t “do any better.” it’s a strange nuance of both acknowledging that I don’t personally find a person’s flesh prison attractive, but not feeling like i’m settling because, i mean, i’ve fallen for them, not their body. my first adult relationship was like that. i didn’t date him because i thought he was handsome, i dated him because he was special to me. the Lamelo Has Been Killing The NBA In Charlotte Hornets Team shirt Furthermore, I will do this only real value looks have is social validation. if you can bag someone more attractive than you, or someone desired by others as a limited resource, then it means there must be something valuable about you. you’ve “won,” so to speak. you’re able to do it. it’s just animalistic competition. in real, actual relationships with real human beings, looks are just frosting on a cake. Anyone im in love with is the hottest person in the world to me so I don’t really care if women that approach me are ugly or not and once I get used to that person’s body it doesn’t make a difference what it looked like before.

I don’t know if you mean age, but at 18 I thought women that age were the Lamelo Has Been Killing The NBA In Charlotte Hornets Team shirt Furthermore, I will do this most beautiful, and now in my 30s they all look like toddlers, and it feels like women peak at 35 now for me, so maybe that’s more of a sliding scale. i often try to remember what my teenage time was like but still can’t wrap my head around how i could find girls that age attractive. I do the opposite, in my memory the girls who I was attracted to back then look like adult women, but when I look at pictures I’m surprised how much they look like kids i know what you mean but that’s not what i meant. e.g. when i see 16 to 18 year old girls on the street, it makes me remember what i looked/was like, but i can’t imagine me back at that age talking to them. i can’t imagine myself and them to be in the same age, because they never were my age, you know? like an anti-pedo-mechanism in my head
