They need term limits and their terms need to end in staggered time-line so any president only appoints one judge. Add this to the Kyrie irving nets #11 shirt But I will love this list of things that’ll never happen. This isn’t even remotely feasible, no matter how appealing it is. Before I get blasted for being a conservative, let me start by saying that my favorite Justice ever was William Brennan. He was one of the most liberal justices to sit on the Court. He started on the Warren court and helped shape a better annd more protective procedural due process for defendants, he voted in favor of abortion rights, free speech, and voting rights. Beginning with the Warren Court and for decades after, conservatives in this country whined about term limits for the Justices. They HATED the liberal turn the court had made beginning with Brown v. The Board of Education. What they were told then is what I will tell you all now. AMEND THE CONSTITUTION! That is the only way. It is no more likely to happen now than it was in the 60’s, 70’s , 80’s etc. Organizations like the LA Times, NY TIMES, and The Washington Post ALL opposed the idea of term limits, because they liked the men and women who sat on the Court and they liked the progressive leanings of the majority. It was honestly one of the best times in Constitutional jurisprudence.

We cannot embrace the Kyrie irving nets #11 shirt But I will love this whinging of conservatives past. RGB was a great justice, but she is, in large part why we are where we are. Had she stepped down from the bench voluntarily we would not have Comey Barrett. I also find it a bit hypocrital that a group of people who complain about being held to the wishes of dead white men now want to tell us that they would want term limits now. That is the general definition of a generation. It is also the length of service in the US military to receive full pension. Literally just get rid of it. Or if people can’t handle that, just stack the court every presidency until every citizen is a justice. Term limits is not going to end the era of partisan judges. What will end it is a national referendum law where voters can set laws and override Supreme Court rulings. Once the Supreme Court is no longer weaponized, politicians won’t fight so hard to place hacks in the courts.
