Our points don’t collide, I’m simply providing more info on why Tibet itself is different from the Kyle Dugger American football safety for the New England Patriots NFL T-Shirt and I love this other two in a historical sense. Also, I agree the one country two system thing doesn’t work. Either separate completely or merge systems, the current structure only breeds resentment on both sides Because Hong Kong and Taiwan have been not China’s in certain historical periods and Taiwan in particular has been disputed and never was officially China’s. Keep in mind that PROC was established in 1949 so anything before that, although referred to as China, depends on the dynasty and time period. Hong Kong was returned to China by the British in 1997 after a 100 year rule, which China consented to during the treaties signed in the two Opium wars. Then after Hong Kong was already used to a capitalistic way of functioning so Deng Xiaoping adopted the “one country two systems” principle, which allowed Hong Kong to function as it did previously.

As for Taiwan, back in the Kyle Dugger American football safety for the New England Patriots NFL T-Shirt and I love this Tang/Song Dynasty China has sent messengers, traded and made economical ties with them (back then Taiwan was called Liuqiu). It was also a province for a short period of time. After Ming Dynasty when China kept shrinking, it was no longer a province. Then, after ww2 and the Japanese invasion was over, the ccp and kmt fought a civil war for the ownership of China. The civil war is complicated (the Republic of China was already established in 1911 by Sun Yat-sen, future leader of kmt. So the two parties tried cooperating and running the country twice, once after and once before the war. The second time, the leader of kmt at that time (jjs) backstabbed their alliance (the white terror). The ccp were severely outnumbered, but the people blamed the Japanese invasion on kmt’s incompetence and the ccp capitalized on that and won the people’s support), but basically the ccp ended up taking over the kmts base in Shanghai and winning, and kmt retreated to Taiwan. So the Republic of China is in Taiwan. It also has the same flag the RoC used to have. Like, imagine if the Republicans and Democrats had a huge fallout and say the Republicans won and established a new country. Meanwhile the Democrats retreated to Hawaii and then proceeded to call Hawaii the United States of America. Naturally tensions would be high and it would be a topic brought up often.
