As a parent now I realize my dad was never mad at me, he was worried about me and just didn’t know how to say that. He didn’t say he loved me very much. Their biggest mistake with me was not using protection. Now I’m out here in the Kyle Busch Vintage the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion T-Shirt and I love this world, against my consent. I’m not having kids, so that prevents that mistake from being repeated. I might let me kid make more decisions, and may be try to be gentle with her, but tbh i am not sure whether it is a good idea….. You see….my dad used to be very strick with me, I remembered that I cried almost everyday when I was a kid. He would just asked me to stop and shut down my feeling. But this kind of training made me very thick skin, at least in the workplace and school. My capacity of taking insult is large. My emotion is so clam that I had a nickname of buddha when I was in uni. It did somehow make me learn more In the workplace and accept criticism from other people. However……the drawback is that I found myself cannot really say no to other people, and I think I also have serious boundary issue in relationships. I cannot speak for myself. If I am too lenient to my daughter, I am afraid that she might become some kind of ungrateful and entitled adult in the future. Smoking around them. I grew up with my parents smoking inside the house, in the car. Once I hit 11 or 12 i was stealing cigarettes and have smoked ever since. When I have kids I hope to not be like this.

Moving around, changing schools, leaving her with a nanny all day, letting her grandma guilt trip her because I have to work, let her be partially raised by grandparents, believing that all I do for her is a sacrifice, let her think that having divorced parents is something you don’t talk about… Make my kids believe that college after highschool is a must, even if I never plan on paying for it. My dad always drilled into my head that I need to go to college after highschool. Never had any intentions of helping me pay for it either. When I was graduating from high school, the Kyle Busch Vintage the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion T-Shirt and I love this pressure of knowing what I wanted to go to college for was overtaking me. I felt like a loser, not knowing what I wanted to do while all my classmates were applying for colleges. A friend suggested I go into nursing, I had the pre reqs, so why not. Well, I was accepted, put on a 2 year wait list, and couldn’t pay, so I applied for a loan. Needed to upgrade a course in the meantime, so I took random courses to get a full-time course load for approval. Got approved, dad was proud. Dropped out just before the program started because I figured it wasn’t for me and now I got debt. I eventually found the career I wanted but it took years and in still dealing with debt.
