And yes, we can post Winnie the Pooh online. Life is similar to life in the US. Source: lived in China for 18 years and Wisconsin for 8 years. In terms of technology and just design there are very few cities that can match some of the higher populated cities in China. The same people complaining about this are the ones complaining about and of our tax dollars going to basically anything. People in this thread really are clueless about China. They’re a paper tiger. All of their megaprojects are just government-condoned debt-traps made with shoddy materials and fall apart within years. Around 20 years ago in Florida we passed a constitutional amendment to create a high speed rail. But Governor Jeb Bush, the puppet of the GOP, blocked it and then rallied the troops to convince the population that we didn’t really want that because it was too expensive. Maybe we start looking at the big picture on these things. Do we really want to defund Ukraine and instead have Russia create a bigger and bigger mess that the US will absolutely be pulled into. Stop backing the talking point that this money would go to US infrastructure if it didn’t go to Ukraine. There’s zero chance that the GOP will do anything inspirational – they simply don’t know how, and they’re owned by people who would benefit from Russia winning. AND the amount of money we’re talking about wouldn’t even make a dent in the need – AT BEST it would pay for 3 bridges. Come on now. Vote differently. Fix this US disaster.
