And I think that’s something everyone here should strive for. Again, just my opinion. It depends on the type of meditation you are practicing. Those who tell others to ignore these sensations seem to be practicing a type of extreme mindfulness meditation, where any feeling beyond the inhale and exhale of your breath should be ignored. I personally see nothing wrong with exploring insights you have while doing the practice, as long as it benefits your mind, body, and spirit in the process. See and a lot of the reading I’ve done around meditation, says the goal is to get to a point where you don’t notice your breath. Spirituality should free us from shackles, not add to them… or so I feel! I heard this somewhere, which I think will resonate with you. Our current perception of our reality and our consciousness is “I think, therefore I am.” But many people are beginning to realize the truth is “I am, therefore I think.” And when you present it like that, it begins to open all kinds of doors! Some things must precede others, for those new things to come to be. When I retread certain thoughts or feelings I had in the past, I now seem able to catch them, and see my anxieties bubbling forth. I’m not a new person, but I do feel like a better person after meditating. More kind. But I also feel less patient: we can have a better world like right now, but people fear coming together in pleasantness. We could end homelessness and world hunger today, but choose not too But some things take time, I tell myself. Thanks for the interesting discussion, it’s a good thread you wrangled!
