Not sure I follow this train of logic.. care to explain? Are you saying the KIss 50th anniversary 1973 2023 thank you for the memories signature shirt so you should to go to store and get this boston tea party happened because some kids were able to conceal carry? Have you seen EUs “trash” infrastructure compared to the US in the recent decade? Im very curious on your take, since Im a citizen of both isles and only one seems to be in a cultural death spiral at the moment Exactly the same with SIDS and safe sleep. God forbid you even mention safe co sleeping guidelines that exist in all other countries to someone who supports no gun control. I think it has to do with perception. The US has fewer restrictions on its media (read: news) that ensure what’s published is as unbiased and factual as possible when compared to other nations of a similar HDI. The result is news that comes across as more sensationalist. Constant dangers are being talked about nonstop in order to drive engagement. The result is that the average American feels less safe than, say, the average German or average Canadian, or average New Zealander.

There’s also the KIss 50th anniversary 1973 2023 thank you for the memories signature shirt so you should to go to store and get this public perception (often depending on what one’s political beliefs are) that the police aren’t on the public’s side. Americans on average trust the police less than most western Europeans. That exacerbates the feeling that the the US is more dangerous that other countries. To be fair, the US really does have significantly more violent crime than Western Europe. Homicide rate hovers around six or eight times higher (per capita), for instance. Not just Western Europe, literally every European country. St Louis, Detroit, Memphis, New Orleans, and Baltimore are all doing South American murder numbers. It’s not public perception, New Orleans has a murder rate of 69.4 per 100,000 people, making it the 10th highest murder per capita rate in the world. All the cities ahead are in South America, with Cape Town in South Africa coming in directly behind at 11th. “America is just a third world country wearing a Gucci belt” The US is obsessed with fear and anger. If it doesn’t make you angry it better make you scared. There are an alarming number of American adults who believe broad daylight stranger abduction of middle class white people happens here (I guarantee one will reply). They can’t seem to wrap their brains around the fact that the *very* few times that has happened it has been the top news story 24/7 until the person was found. Instead they see “human trafficking” stories around every super-bowl and convention and are led to believe that “human traffic” looks like Karen being grabbed by a dude in a ski mask and dragged to an unmarked van, when in reality human trafficking is a cascade of bad luck and unfortunate decisions trapping the most vulnerable and least privileged in society.
