I’d rather they were honest and just said yeah we know guns don’t make shit safer but we still want our guns and are willing to take that risk. At least it’s how they really feel.. No amount of guns will help when politicians made it a crime to bring a weapon anywhere of any significance to someone’s life. Law abiding citizens will obey those laws and thus be unarmed. Then we get the Kindergarten heart rainbow explore think learn play create dream T-Shirt moreover I love this catch 22 that no one is armed in these places and then people ask. Well where is the “good guy with a gun?” Well he didn’t have it because the government told him he couldn’t have it there. It’s really a brilliant political strategy. Ban carry everywhere. No one is ever armed to defend themselves. Then use the lack of self defense incidents to claim that carrying a weapon for self defense is useless! Then you can ban guns completely since you ‘proved’ they are useless!

How is that Loki’s wager? I guess if you’re saying that what it means to be safer is undefinable. That’s clearly not the Kindergarten heart rainbow explore think learn play create dream T-Shirt moreover I love this issue though- the issue is that a society with exponentially more guns among the population is naturally going to have more gun violence. The premise that “guns make you safer” is just false. It’s so easy to prove too. Every other country that has less guns in the general population is safer. The statistics don’t lie. So when you say that someone (I’m sure I’ll get a reply eventually) will always move the goal posts. So that we now are arguing about rights and the government overstepping it’s power. As if we don’t REALLY care about the dead kids and stopping that MORE than we care about our ability to keep our fucking guns.
