The way I look at role playing games is not that I’m taking the role of the character I create, but rather, narrating the characters story and life. I create a variety of characters in games I play, and don’t really ever view any of them as an extension of me. It’s how I can play an evil character in one game and make decisions I never would personally make, and then in the next game play a holier-than-thou righteous paragon. They’re not me, they’re characters, and I’m just telling their story.
