It’s not like you’re obligated to drive in the carpool lane if you have 2+ passengers. Driving faster is your reward for carpooling!

Back when I took drivers ed in Illinois I really don’t remember learning about the fast lane, and having to figure it out for myself by driving on the highways. Either they don’t know they are slow, or they think they are regulating the speeders, which is none of their fucking business, but logic doesn’t live in their brains My dad is this person. He will get in the carpool lane (or other lane that is not the farthest right) and hit the cruise control at 65 (speed limit is 65 where he lives). He doesn’t care that people flash their lights at him, honk, whatever. I WANT to think he is oblivious. But he really just doesn’t care. Speed limit is 65 so that’s what he’s doing even if no on else is and they are trapped behind him until the lane breaks again.
