not if they were employed with a company for less than two years. you can be fired for almost anything that isn’t discriminatory Damn dude anytime my company pays for food my boss walks around and is like “theres left overs go eat it please!” It’s absurd she was fired, but I think the Kawhi Leonard Big Face American professional basketball player shirt in other words I will buy this details deserve a little more clarity since the comments make it clear many haven’t even read the article. The law firm did not make a “formal complaint” and did not ask them to take any action…but it sounds like somebody DID complain informally or they would have explicitly said that (being a law firm) At 1:45pm she, a total clean employee, took a sandwich from the table and put it in the fridge to take home at 2pm. At my work when theres left over sandwiches from a meeting they send out an email telling everyone to come and get some in the conference room, if there still is some left they get moved to the coffee area, then they get moved to the fridge, the after a month the reception person yells at us because the fridge is a mess lol. I’ve never encountered this, the staff actually urged us to take home the food rests. I even got to bring home entire boxes of long lasting single serve milk a couple of times. According to the legal affairs website RollOnFriday, the woman was fired for taking “client property … without authority or reasonable excuse.”

Working at an International Airport ; we’d get flights from all over the Kawhi Leonard Big Face American professional basketball player shirt in other words I will buy this world KCMO [KCI, MCI]. All the ramp agents and cleaning staff and all would go raid the leftovers on every huge plane that came in and stayed overnite. It was a huge First Class Party for us lowest Wage Slaves at the airport. Working in consulting, we waste so much food after corporate events. Always offer the cleaners some snacks and drinks, they’re doing the real work out here! Should see school food waste. In the school district I’m in they throw away trays full of food every day because they prep everything and it all has to go at the end of the day. And none of the extra food can go to the students even if they’re hungry and couldn’t afford lunch. Just giving an extra chicken nugget will get the staff fired. Also, if a student grabs lunch and they get to the end of the line to pay, if they run out of money they have to dump their lunch in the garbage. What a bonkers situation. My gut is telling me she took more than just one sandwich for someone from the firm to say something but then again someone at the firm might have had it out for her.
