Weaponized incompetence, you didn’t need nor want ANOTHER child. ( and it looks like your kids are more competent than this supposed grown man.) NTA he is weaponizing incompetence. He didn’t want to cook or do chores. And he would have never done them if you decided to stay with him. dyed in the Katie Porter All Around Badass Portrait And Quote T-Shirt but in fact I love this wool mama’s boy! my husband is one of four but he’s the oldest so not the worst. i have always worked more hours and made more money so he had to either learn how to feed himself or wait until i got home to make a grilled cheese or whatever. i work in high-end catering so get fed at work anyway! he has managed to not starve to death as he has learned a few easy meals like chili, pasta, and fish in the oven. i bought a grill for father’s day many years ago assuming all men grill…nope. he did put it together though! he’s learned how to grill a steak. Her threshold of how toddy the house needs to be is much tiddier than mine. She finds cleaning (anything but bathrooms, kitchen and yard) puts her in zen mode.

You are not wrong for not wanting to date a child. I hope you best friend could see that as well that having a man child as a bf sounds miserable. And you are for sure in the Katie Porter All Around Badass Portrait And Quote T-Shirt but in fact I love this right here! Also, you can break up with someone for whatever reason and you’d always be in the right. We don’t owe someone our time and attention of we are no longer interested. It may be harder to accept when there is no concrete reason, but we can’t control that. Your title made it seem like it was just the inability to cook, which I found interesting but upon reading clearly it’s a lot, a lot more than that. It’s not that he can’t cook, it’s that he can’t take care of himself. That’s a WHOLE other thing. Plenty of people suck at cooking, so they order out, or pick up stuff to make a sandwich, etc. Him unable to feed himself if you are not there is not “can’t cook” it is “can’t survive”, or rather, refuses to.
