Never! Sounds like an extremely prejudiced person or the Kansas Jayhawks 2023 Guaranteed Rate Bowl Bound helmet vintage shirt and I love this whole culture is a typical Indian office culture (as opposed to a formal MNC culture). File a complaint, people need to know this is not ok. He is a lead, there are impressionable young people. Least he should do is say sorry next time in the same meeting. Well the company thought the quarterly trainings on workplace harassment will do the job! Raise it with your HR immediately. All these high talks work only on reddit not out in the real world, you’re new & he’s in management, all will suck up to him & then target you. Do you have the call recording? If yes, please raise a complaint with HR. Next time remind him to speak in English while business is being conducted. If you have recording and if the HR doesn’t take action, you have social media. Make sure to upload the recording on the company social media handle and it will burn the company at the Dickhead. If you don’t have recording and if there were other bangalore folks who can vouch, write a petition and get signature and submit to HR. Something similar happened at my ex-workplace. A colleague referred to a client as “Sardar ji” (in an internal call) in a derogatory way and insinuated that people from that particular religion have no brain. I was appalled, write a written complaint to my manager. My manager said that “perhaps that was his way of breaking ice”. No action was taken. Phew! About a week ago, there was some similar issue. It was more to do with professional etiquette. I raised a complaint with the manager. He was reassuring and told that he’ll take it up with HR. Next week they arranged 1-1 (manager and me), and told me I should let it go.

Let me explain a bit more: so the Kansas Jayhawks 2023 Guaranteed Rate Bowl Bound helmet vintage shirt and I love this client had asked for something which the team was finding challenging to deliver. So the team mate said : “ Ye Sardaron wali baatein kar rahe hain sardar ji”. In my first meeting in Gurgaon, when my manager introduced me in a marketing meeting to the marketing team and requested to keep it in English cause i don’t understand Hindi, the marketing head goes “why? Is he not from India?”. Similar situation to the above. Some laughed, most were silent. But awkward altogether. I shrugged it off though, since it was my first week in the job. In my husband’s former workplace his boss who is a Punjabi from Delhi told my husband how come you are so fair despite being a South Indian?
