The only occasion I had good flatmates, it was a friend whom I studied with at uni – I was no longer a student having graduated and moving onto something else, but she was still there doing her MSc. Her parents helped buy her a fully detached house (quite rare for London these days) but she needed to let out the Kansas City Chiefs city of champions defend the Kingdom shirt in contrast I will get this other rooms in order to cover the mortgage, so she banded with those she had studied with or were currently studying with at the uni nearby. The fact we already knew each other in one form or another and shared the same interests including our profession helped. Honestly… luck. Give yourself plenty of time and start looking early. Vet / visit as many people as possible and never ever give up, even when you feel you’re going crazy, just hold on tight. You WILL get lucky. Then I met them and I instantly felt at home and surrounded by like minded people. Just keep trying ❤️❤️ Some luck, but also pay close attention to the SpareRoom ad—not only in the room you’re applying for, but put effort into your own. Anyone who cares about their home and space and people, will give a lot of context and information about the room and themselves, and will also make sure to only bother with you if you’ve clearly made an effort (speaking from experience).
