It just seems that way because we all have access to instant information on our phones. The companies providing that information stream have fine tuned their algorithms to increase your engagement with them. The more you engage, the Justin Jefferson Griddy Cartoon American football wide receiver T-Shirt but in fact I love this more the spiral continues and leads us to think that we’re ready to kill each other. But that’s not really true. Just turn off the tech for a while and go meet people in person. It’s not as bad as it seems. There is the liminal and the subliminal. The obvious is Social Media, the internet, tv/movies, media in general, and our phones. We have “propoganda” coming from all sides, and people have their own niche groups and subgroups online that they are part of which encourage a hive mind thinking. People giving FAR too much credit to online posts, critique, comments is a big problem too. It does not reflect society at all….. trolls, flamers, and so on is a well known thing. It is easy to see stuff online and think it is reality… when say on tiktok, everyone now SHOULD assume that what you see is fake or staged, but people still fall for it. Flat Earth is a good example of this…. people really bought into this just cause of youtube theories and stuff, with convincing images and audio. The algorhythm is not your friend. It fools us all into seeing more of the Justin Jefferson Griddy Cartoon American football wide receiver T-Shirt but in fact I love this stuff we have watched or commented or clicked on….. good or bad. We might see the same types of politics or crimes being repeated 5x as much because we clicked on something. A warped view of the real world….. which is why there is always a disconnect between the state of the nation as viewed online, versus going out and “touching grass” and seeing that its not that bad.
