Nicks went on to voice her thoughts through the Just Me N My Upset Tummy Against The World Shirt moreover I love this frame of her own experience with abortion. She spoke about the impact that terminating a pregnancy during her relationship with the Eagles’ Don Henley in 1979 had on her life and legacy. “If I had not had that abortion, I’m pretty sure there would have been no Fleetwood Mac,” she explains. “There’s just no way that I could have had a child then, working as hard as we worked constantly. And there were a lot of drugs, I was doing a lot of drugs … I would have had to walk away.” She paused and continued. “And I knew that the music we were going to bring to the world was going to heal so many people’s hearts and make people so happy. And I thought: You know what? That’s really important. There’s not another band in the world that has two lead women singers, two lead women writers. That was my world’s mission.”

At 72, Nicks’s candid perspective sheds further light on what’s at stake for reproductive health and rights in the Just Me N My Upset Tummy Against The World Shirt moreover I love this 2020 election and why protecting a women’s right to a safe abortion, as well as improving federal funding for abortions and coverage of contraceptive methods, is essential. Moreover, letting women consider what is best for their health and life not only supports their fundamental human rights but has also been shown to lead to better birth outcomes. In fact, a new study released yesterday by the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that women living in states with fewer restrictions related to reproductive rights have lower rates of low birth weight, especially for Black women, who experience higher rates of infant and maternal death in the U.S.
