All of that being said, it’s super obvious most people in this thread have no idea what they’re talking about and haven’t even done the bare minimum of reading this article. I mean, I know that’s stereotypical redditor behavior, but, like, seriously people? This article states it was a Concrete Company who lost money because workers left in the middle of a shift with “valuable” product being wasted. I say valuable in quotes because its concrete… But think about if certain workers organized a strike to happen right after starting a dangerous procedure that requires overwatch to ensure safety.. Suddenly Jimmy is all alone and can’t handle the workload and the coal furnace explodes and kills him. An extreme analogy but it shouldn’t be the company’s fault, rather the people who left him there. A more appropriate one would be a Paps Johns Pizzas worker “going on strike” right after getting overwhelmed with orders and leaving an oven full of pizza to burn. Could come out of the franchise owners own pocket and that would kind of suck.

Strikes do sabotage business, but physical destruction doesn’t have to be part of striking, and that could just be called vandalism. You’d think this was r/conservative Probably not since the decision isn’t actually incorrect as far as I can tell. There’s a reason it was an 8-1 decision. Or you know it was 8-1 because everyone on the Supreme Court is pro business and anti labor. Seems pretty obvious to me lmao The decision probably isn’t wrong simple because the court isn’t saying anyone is wrong but merely that they can be sued. The court simply said that blocking the lawsuit was wrong. The company could still lose the lawsuit. Cause as JFK said, “if you make peaceful revolution impossible, you make violent revolution inevitable.” The point of the striking laws was that they gave workers a nonviolent way to express their grievances. Take that away and soon you’ll just get a mob of armed workers attacking corporate. Maybe I’m misunderstanding the ruling, but they’re not taking away non-violent means of striking, only allowing the ability to sue the Union if the strikers use violence or cause destruction, which seems somewhat reasonable. They’re telling all us peasants to get back to work making their wealthy donors more money so the wealthy donors can give them more money.
