I’m sure this is a much different living experience than most of the Just a girl who loves Grinch and Cowboys shirt moreover I will buy this people here but at least for me growing up the idea of keeping cats inside all the time is kind of cruel. My cats loved exploring the ranch, hunting the mice, etc. they were basically wild cats except they would come to us to be pet and scratched. A lot of people, and I mean, a LOT of people have missed this, but, I was referring mainly to towns and cities with lots of houses, lots of people, that kind of thing. Either they are extremely ignorant to the harm it causes to both the environment and the cats or they simply don’t care. I’ll never get why people get pets if they can’t afford to give them the space they need. Might aswell get stuffed toys if they just want something to pat.

Because they’re unaware of the Just a girl who loves Grinch and Cowboys shirt moreover I will buy this damage cats cause to the native ecosystem and they are unaware of the dangers outside poses to their cat. Yes your cat hasn’t been hit by a car in the 5 years you’ve had him but that doesn’t mean he won’t come across a dog in a backyard that will kill him or a fox trap etc. It’s surprisingly common despite outdoor cats having statistically shortened lifespans compared to indoor cats. I don’t understand it also. My mom lets her cats outside and I dread the day one of them potentially doesn’t come home. I guess because she was already an outdoor cat? Started as an abandoned kitten so we started feeding her on our porch when she was clearly starving to death. Then she decided to stay so we put out an outdoor cat heated house. Then she started wanting to come in so we took her to the vet and had all of the things done. The Vet recommended letting her be an indoor/outdoor cat, so that is what she is. She comes and goes as she pleases. She is very resilient and smart. I love my dog but she is no where near as smart as our cat, I would never give her the same privileges. We are in the country-ish area; if that helps. My cats are spayed and updated on shots, they stay in my yard. I love cats, but in my opinion they are animals that shouldn’t be strictly inside. I understand it’s different for everybody and I don’t judge those that keep theirs inside. It’s just my person preference. Mine helped me with my mouse problem
