It sounds like your co-worker is doing management. Maybe they’re not the Just A Girl Who Loves Cute Cat Shirt In addition,I will do this best at it, but it sounds like you want some robot to feed you “tickets” which then you mark as “done” because that’s your job. When I get developers like that, that’s exactly what I do with them. I work with leaders within the company to create tickets for the people who just want to get them done. Meanwhile, I work with the people who are able to talk to and manage other team members to figure out what the projects and work we need to do actually are. I want to add that us running the show are MAJORLY aware of who is doing stuff at an acceptable pace vs not. IMO – your best bet is going to be working on your willingness to talk to people because politics aren’t going away any time soon. You don’t have to be super charming. Just don’t be an asshole. Unfortunately those two are part of the Just A Girl Who Loves Cute Cat Shirt In addition,I will do this reason you aren’t getting more impactful work. Management want people they think can deliver, and get the impression your coworker can because they keep assigning her new stuff. Management doesn’t know who you are or if you’re reliable in their eyes.
