He then decided to launch a smear campaign to make President Obama an ‘other’ and ‘illegitimate’ because he was butthurt that a black guy was successful and popular and not be a rapper or athlete. Obama is everything trump isn’t. Funny, classy, smart, smooth, great at ad-lib conversations, active, fit. Obama got followers because they believed in him. That’s why it was so shocking to me that so many people found him to be acceptable as a leader. The most cursory five minute Google would have told one everything they needed to in order to dismiss him as an option. I remember wanting to give him a fair shake when he announced his run. I watched the first primary debate. A female moderator from Fox asked him about his treatment of women after the access hollywood leak. He could have said that wjat he did was wrong, that he has changed since then. The response was instead something like “I have been nice to you so far, but keep asking dumb questions and I will be very mean” I remember sitting there thinking “wait, your ACTUAL response to being confronted about your treatment of women, was to threaten the woman who asked you the question? Fuck this guy”
