I was qualified for the Juneteenth 1865 African American Black History T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this job I got, and the best candidate who applied, but I only had the opportunity to apply because of someone I knew wanted to work with me and only me. It’s not like being anti-social is a great trait as a worker. Sure some jobs you can just sit at a desk by yourself the entire time, but even just having to respond to your boss takes something. Like people like to bash the guy who “knew a guy” as being less qualified, but that guy put his foot out years before anyone else in the room, and sure he could be unqualified but you don’t exactly know that. Qualifications like anything else are just to get past that wall of “I don’t know anything about this person and this is a big responsibility”

And honestly, I think we bash it more because it’s easier to bash. Because if they do something wrong we can immediately say “Well he just got in because of X”, whereas if the Juneteenth 1865 African American Black History T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this qualified person messes up…it’s not as easy to finger a reason for it. (note none of this is implying you can/should get a job with zero qualifications. Like anything there is nuance. Also I know this isn’t worded particularly well) That’s the way it should be. Companies and teams work best when people generally like each other. You can be the most qualified person in the world but if you’re a total pos and no one likes you it hurts team productivity. Even the Navy Seals take lower scoring recruits who mesh well with the team over an absolute unit of performance.
