Of course it’s easier said than done, but if you have anything to change or improve, it’s not your hairstyle, your voice, your style, your jewelry. It’s your confidence and self esteem. Don’t listen to the people who are telling you to change. If you do change, you should do it bc you want to rather than bc it makes you feel bad or bc u want girls to like it – you should do it for you. There will absolutely be women out there who won’t assume you’re gay though. As a queer woman, I’d imagine queer women would be less likely to assume that you’re gay unless you say so because of the culture we’re a part of. Maybe im just generalising though, idk. Also maybe you could try using dating apps? That way there’s no question about whether or not you like women. I’ve heard other people here say that there are certain types of women who will love the way you’re presenting and they’re definitely not wrong. You will find someone who loves you for you eventually dude! You shouldn’t have to change the way you present yourself for that to happen.

There’s no way it needs to be handled lol. You just have gay vibes. It is what it is. But it’s not a barrier to having a love life. Maybe try hanging in scenes with similar aesthetics. Poetry slams, open mics, live music lounges, etc Music is my thing, I love music. So naturally my style in fashion kinda reflects that. I love “edgier” music as well so I try to dress like that music style a bit I too am straight and give off a vibe, and I regularly have people of all genders and orientations tell me that they assume I’m gay or “at least bi”. I’ve definitely had women I was interested in tell me that was an issue for them. When I was young it bothered me, but as I got older I realized that I didn’t really get along with most straight men because a lot of them tended to have some pretty unkind attitudes, and I started gravitating more to spending time with women or queer folk and suddenly, when people assumed I was queer, it didn’t really bother me anymore, because many of my friends were queer and I like queer people, so its not an offense to be confused for it. It’ll be ok. The right women will like you for who you are. I know it’s lonely out there, but if you change who you are to make people like you, then they don’t like you. They like your mask. And then you have to be in character every time you see them. That’s exhausting. Just be unapologetically yourself. Life is too much work to live any other way.
