Yeah I was raised like this and yeah if the Josh Allen Buffalo Bills retro shirt Furthermore, I will do this food was bad it was even worse, but I decided to take a different approach to raising my son My childhood friends’ parents were like this. They made their kids clean their plate. The dad once wouldn’t let me leave the table until I ate the nasty overcooked, mushy carrots that he made. My friend ended up morbidly obese and weighing 400lbs in high-school Common advice now is to offer as much of a safe food that you know they will as they want and then to put other foods on their plate for exposure. You decide what they eat, they decide how much. I am 90% sure most of my disordered eating is a direct result of being made to finish my food. Definitely a reason i struggled with weight my whole life. I have a core memory of being yelled at and forced to stay till i finished my plate and when it got late and i didnt i was dragged to my room

I’m 61 and I was forced. I remember sitting IN A HIGHCHAIR in a dark kitchen until I finished what was on my plate. My parents lived through WW2, so I always blamed it on that. if they didn’t want to eat the Josh Allen Buffalo Bills retro shirt Furthermore, I will do this dinner I cooked AND if there was something left over and nutritious in the fridge, they could choose that if they wanted. (like I didn’t have enough left overs from yesterday to feed us all today, and it didn’t get taken for lunch) I worked in restaurant until three months ago. Something I noticed about the newer generation with kids is they don’t force kids to eat until they’re stuffed. Hell, some don’t make them eat at all. Some of these kids will eat only the fries, some will pick at the bun if a burger. What I like about it is these parents give them the choice. In my opinion, that’s what creates healthy eating habits. The food is there, you’re not hungry? Fine. But you might be later.
