What does any of this matter when the JORDAN WALSH American professional basketball player Boston Celtics shirt and I love this most basic jobs fail to pay a living wage whether an individual can perform these academic tasks or not. This is the entire point! A poorly educated working class is easier to control. Keep ‘em dumb… keep ‘em fighting culture wars… When my mom went back to teaching in 2002, she had students like this in her high school classes. However, that was expected, because she was at a low decile school (similar to title I school in New Zealand) and she was hired partially to teach low level skills classes for kids who were grade levels behind. Why do they not have these classes for left behind kids anymore to catch them up??!! How in the ever loving fuck could any middle schooler not know basic shapes? My 4 year old has known her shapes since she was 2. It took basically zero effort on my part, just got some puzzles with various shapes that id do with her (and tbh Sesame Street also probably helped). This really is horrifying, jfc

JORDAN WALSH American professional basketball player Boston Celtics shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

TBF I had a teacher friend, I can’t remember the JORDAN WALSH American professional basketball player Boston Celtics shirt and I love this grade 4th or 5th maybe, who couldn’t do most of those math examples either. How can we expect the kids to do this stuff if their teachers can’t do it either? As someone who has no experience teaching whatsoever, do you guys think this is unique to the current generation of students or has this always been a thing and then inflated on social media? I met a 9th grader about 2 years ago who couldn’t tie his own shoes. And he got frustrated with me and with himself when I tried to show him and he couldn’t do it right away. I hear you, but even as a parent it’s a nightmare to overcome. My wife and I spend a lot of time and money making sure our kids are up-to-speed. It shouldn’t take being wealthy and able to afford tutoring and home resources to make sure kids are up to speed.
