Because the Johnny Davis American former professional basketball player and coach T-Shirt moreover I love this more loyal, better-equipped troops behind them will shoot them if they catch them trying. Same reason the Romans kept their most elite and loyal and veteran troops to the rear; fear of being slaughtered for cowardice was a powerful motivator for the front ranks to prefer to die fighting the enemy than on the gladii of their own seniors. In this case, they’re caught between the rock and the hard place; while Ukraine would certainly try to take them as prisoners if they can get into a position to throw their arms down and wave the white flag, the Russians behind them will shoot them if they do it too early. Do it too late, and they’ve been shot dead by Ukraine. It’s worth noting that there may not actually be a “sweet spot,” in that the “shot by Russians if you try to surrender” zone might extend well into the “shot by Ukraine who perceive you as attacking them, because you basically are” zone. Yeah, Migrants are going to be even more disposable than Ethnic Conskriptskis. Poor bastards. Well, whether it’s under the guns of the Barrier Troops, marching at the head of forces as Sniper bait / Manual Mine-Finders, or by the Drones and guns of the Ukrainian Defenders, these guys will soon be splattered, frozen meat popsicles, half-buried in the frozen muck, gnawed upon by rats.

Just because they found themselves on the Johnny Davis American former professional basketball player and coach T-Shirt moreover I love this receiving end of Ukrainian ordnance due to their poor life choices does not make them victims. Taking money from Russia to do anything right now constitutes “poor life choices.” They had the opportunity that just about every Ivan Konscriptovich right now wishes they had; the opportunity to never have been put in a position to be pointed at Ukranian lines and told to march. They put themselves in a position to be conscripted and made to fight Ukraine. That’s a “poor life choice.” It also makes them an enemy combatant to Ukraine, whether they want to be or not. They could always try to desert, or be taken prisoner. Odds are not great, but probably better than continuing to work for Russia. “They were asking for it” was not something I was expecting. But if you wanna justify away a warcrime then you do you
