I’ll never tell them “just drown yourself” because they didn’t do their homework. I’ll never tell them “I never loved you in the first place” just because I wasn’t able to complete some work-related activity. I’ll never make them try to ‘earn’ their birthday gift by having straight ‘A’s (I’m not even a B student, but I try). I’ll never tell them to “stop watching cartoons” when they’re 8 years old. And most importantly, if I’m ever in a situation where I have to hit them to discipline them, I’ll never use anything other than my hand.

He also destroyed my things or at least tried to. He believed that fear means respect, but he’s wrong, I don’t respect him at all. Now that I’m expecting my first, I’m not going to let him see her unsupervised. At the slightest hint of aggression I’ll scoop her up and go home. He wanted me to be afraid of him, now he gets to reap the consequences of his actions. And needless to say, I’ll do all I can to never shout at my child.
