Dude she is a next level of stupid that I’ve never seen. The guy would have let her gone on with her day but her ego wouldn’t allow her to just walk away. Incredible. Thing is she’s probably correct from a corporate policy standpoint. Bet she went in there thinking “they can’t do anything” and was shocked when they did. Big corporations would rather not have a lawsuit on their hands or any liability from an injury or something caused by a confrontation with a thief. That’s how it was when I worked retail for two unrelated retailers. The thing is, she probably could’ve dropped all the Joey Votto Still Bangs A Canadian American Baseball Cincinnati Reds T-Shirt and I will buy this product and dipped, but she was so certain that he had done something egregious and needed to be held accountable, she seemed to insist on waiting for police. Omfg, guess what legally they can put their hands on you and detain you for stealing. This fucking shit and these dumbass criminals. I absolutely hate that criminals think people people can’t touch them. Recently in my store a group of teen females were stealing. Cart full of stuff. At least $400 worth of stuff. Got confronted by the managers. Made a huge scene. Calling the managers racists. One of said racist managers is engaged to a black woman. So they left. Came back taking pictures and videos of managers and other employees that was there. Then THEY called the police. The police came and they tried to say they had an instacart order that they needed to shop. Managers said they’ve stolen before and was trying to steal this time. Cops said you have to give whoever order you trying to do their money back, cancel the order and leave since you got kicked out. And if you come back, you’ll get a trespassing charge.
