I’ve thought about this many times myself (pondering doing the Joe’s Brick Woll Goaltending Estd 2016 Shirt so you should to go to store and get this “vagabond lifestyle”).. if “your stuff” are the only possessions you have,. I can imagine being very protective of them. If people would rather be in sub-zero temperatures than use the shelter, that’s a shelter problem. I think this is why the notion of “low barrier” shelters exists, because tons of cities and shelter providers were experiencing dismal occupancy rates yet people were still dying of hypothermia. Allowing pets, partners and property goes a long way in accommodating real people in need. Often low-barrier shelters don’t require that people are clean and sober either and will have an amnesty box for drugs, alcohol and knives.

I live in Detroit. Cold ass winters, some cities will have warming centers during the Joe’s Brick Woll Goaltending Estd 2016 Shirt so you should to go to store and get this colder months where people can stay. Same in the summer, they’ll have cooling centers. Libraries, police stations, and churches will stay open all day and night for them. True story: When the auto show happens in Detroit, they tell people to call when they see a homeless person near the downtown area. It’s so they can “shelter” them. They ship them out of the area so they don’t panhandle. I was lucky enough to have someone help me get a sleeping bag rated for below freezing. Probably saved my life. Library during the day, though unless it’s a blizzard moving keeps you warm enough. I live in a Canadian city with harsh winters and a lot of homeless people (Calgary) and the answer is, they get frostbite. Pretty much all of them at some point. Some only lose function or feeling in a finger or their nose. Many lose body parts entirely. It’s really fucking sad.
