Why don’t they freeze as they’re climbing? Why only freeze as they’re taking a rest? What freezes body to the Joel Embiid Cameroonian professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers T-Shirt and by the same token and point the entire body just shuts down and dies? Sorry if it sounds dumb but I’m very interested As long as you’re moving and performing hard work, such as climbing, your body will produce a lot of heat. When you stop moving/working, and sit down to rest, your body slows down dramatically its production of heat, and you begin to freeze. Once you become unconscious or dead, your body completely stops producing heat, and your body will literally freeze into a popsicle stick. If I recall correctly, the air in the death zone of Everest ( above 8000 meters) contains around 30% of the Oxygen, that it does at sea level. They become unconscious and die from hypoxia ( in most cases, there are other possible alternatives). I haven’t climbed in such extreme heights myself, but only up to about 4800 meters, and even at those altitudes and being well acclimatized, everything is absolutely exhausting, because of the lack of oxygen.

We don’t know how or why they died, they might have just collapsed and died or sat down out of exhaustion and then died. We have no way of knowing exactly what happened. They ‘rested’ because they were suffocating, generally speaking, and when you’re dying you stop moving. No one able to keep moving there doesn’t keep moving, because if you stop moving you die. From what I’ve heard, they just leave the Joel Embiid Cameroonian professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers T-Shirt and by the same token and bodies there. Theyre too frozen to properly rot, and it’s too dangerous to retrieve them.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
