If this is proper chemo, you can’t dispose of it yourself like you would other medications (in coffee grounds or kitty litter). Many states have a repository program now specifically for chemo and very expensive meds to “reuse” so look into that please OP!!! The originating pharmacy may host this program as well 🤞🏼 you might be able to help someone in need Can you point me to a source for that info? I’m not saying it’s impossible, but I find it odd. If the pharmacy can’t prove that the med was kept at the proper temperature, they usually just tell you to destroy it on the receiving end (rather than having to pay for return shipping if all they’re going to do is destroy it on their end). Once in a blue moon I’d be told to just destroy it on my end and they’ll send another vial overnight. I’ve had to deal with this myself, setting up MANY white-bagged deliveries for meds that cost thousands of doll hairs.
