I’ve had too many employers take advantage of my willingness to be a team player. Every dime they don’t pay you ends up in their pocket. I’ve been in similar situations, and can say that I would do so again. Both times, once I was confident, I approached my boss basically saying “ok, I believe I am invaluable here now and it’s time to talk about when to expect proper compensation”. One time I quit on the Jiu Jitsu Game of Chokes Shirt In addition,I will do this spot because the terms were unacceptable (found out years later that the store closed down). The other time, opportunity decreased and I stepped down; I’m still on good terms with them. That experience led me to my current job, which I love and feel well compensated for. It’s really very simple, and lay it down to them like this because you have a spinal column. Exactly who do they doubt, their own judgement in selecting you, or your quality? Either way, it’s a bad sign for you. Either their leadership is so feckless that they don’t trust themselves, or they are simply trying to get you to do the extra work for free while they headhunt a “suitable” replacement. Reject the “offer” unless they make it lucrative and permanent. Frankly, if I were in your shoes I would quit on the spot. Do not accept unless they give you the raise first. If you “don’t fit” they can demote you and give you your old position back

Do not worry about the Jiu Jitsu Game of Chokes Shirt In addition,I will do this money for now. This is your opportunity to get the experience and the title for the next job. The only problem is that they might be trying to get an outside hire to replace your boss and then they will demote you after you worked to cover their a** in the meantime. The best option would be to look around. It will be hard, but it would prepare you in case the company has more problems. If you are not able to get another gig and they bring someone else and demote you, then do not get mad! Ask for a bonus for your hard work. After the bonus check clears, then you can get mad. Get the money first. Simple… get it in writing. Explain that you appreciate that they wish to entrust you with this opportunity. Tell them you understand that there won’t be a pay raise immediately but there will be a title change. Ask if they can provide you with details on the role, the responsibilities, the specific metrics that would be used to determine whether you’re able to be successful, when that review would occur, and what the positive outcome would be (how much of a raise)? Haha I got the title change and an effective pay decrease. I was promoted to management and switched from hourly to salary with a promise that I would get a review soon and my pay increase then, and I accepted some extra vacation time in lieu of an immediate raise. What a mistake. 2 years later I still haven’t gotten a review and because they switched me to salaried, I lost my overtime pay. Which amounts to around $14k annually before management and more like $30k after the promotion. They’ve basically burned me out to the point of complete exhaustion, pay me less, and still tell me I’m not doing enough. To protect yourself- ask for a timeline for the raise, what the expectations/requirements are for the raise (what are the metrics- tangible measurements, not things left up to interpretation!) and how much the raise will be for. Get it in writing.
