You might already be receiving medical care for your condition and the new doctor doesn’t want to interfere with your treatment plan You always want your doctor to know if you’ve had previous treatments or are on any medications before they prescribe anything for you. Trust me, you don’t want to be treated for the same thing with different methods that might contradict each other. Yes, that seems to be the consensus. Otherwise they get charged for you going to an outside clinic. As a woman, I’m soooo tired of going in for a ear infection and being asked if I am or ever have been pregnant. I JUST WANT MY EAR DROPS WHY DOES IT MATTER!? They’re trying to determine how hard it would be to punt you over to another doctor so they can get back to the golf course.
