You need to abolish this insanity. You just can’t choose shit for your country as long as this institution exist Was this the Jingle boy christmas god of war ragnarok shirt What’s more,I will buy this authors opinion when it wasn’t majority conservative? I don’t like “the rules aren’t fair when I’m not winning” policy in politics. e.g. electoral college. Probably wasn’t having to worry about rights being stripped away at every turn so they weren’t needing to be concerned with it. Changing the rules on how we “kick out” any official is a bad idea IF we haven’t “fixed” the issues of “how they get in.” If the term was 30 years, we’d lose Thomas. 25 years, add Breyer. Go down to 15 years and both Roberts and Alito are gone. I’m all for expansion to 15, also. Add 1 new seat per congressional election (1 every 2 years) until it’s full. That spreads it out nicely among presidential terms. People will write fantasy columns like this instead of plainly telling people that if they don’t vote none of this gets fixed. I feel like they should be split 3R::3D with some election process for each and term limits. The seventh swing seat should be appointed by the president giving a moderate advantage to the party in power. That said, the point of no term limits was to not be able to vote out a justice for a controversial (or party defying) decision. The court really needs to be impartial which doesn’t work in that scenario or the current situation.

It’d almost be better to replace the Jingle boy christmas god of war ragnarok shirt What’s more,I will buy this Supreme Court with a “Supreme Jury”. pick 201 random people from across the country for each case, sequester them, let them hear both sides on a subject, ask them to use common sense and decency, and majority vote wins. I hate the idea of “expanding the court” because we all know that if Dems add four justices now, Republicans will just add five more when they take control – and it continues until we have more justices than Senators. There is zero long-term good that can come from expanding the Court. A far more elegant solution is that every justice gets a 18-year term and each president gets two appointments per four-year term. If a justice dies or retires while in that term, the current president gets to appoint an interim justice for the remainder of that 18-year term. Majority vote from Senate is all it takes to confirm. So, winning presidential races still matters and a 12-year stretch of one party owning the White House can turnover 2/3 of the seats and swing the court.
