I worked for a state government in a full-time benefited position that required a MS degree. We had food stamps and even Medicaid for many years. I got a tiny raise and lost it all. It sucked. We were barely making it before we lost it. Afterwards we were done for. They also considered my position to be exempt from FLSA so they worked me as many hours per week as they could and I still got paid the Jiminy Glick picture T-Shirt and I love this same. Government should be, in my humble opinion, the opposite of business. By the people, for the people, of the people. Businesses are not people. And with increasing tax breaks for the billionaires at Walmart who underpay their employees, it will be up to the taxpayers to pay Walmart’s employees a living wage in the form of food stamps, healthcare, heating assistance, etc.

OR they need to have priorities. They dont need a phone, or netflix, or other luxury items until they advanced themselves to afford those things. Probably should start with the Jiminy Glick picture T-Shirt and I love this root of the problem which is runaway inflation. With central banking, usually it’s government policy that causes runaway inflation. At the end of the day, inflation is just a tax the government takes from everyone pro rata to wealth… They don’t even give that much and it can only be used on certain items, can’t buy any toiletries, no hot food, no cleaning supplies. It’s literally just basic fucking food and people still loose their shit Had an older person say something to me for using WIC to get some stuff for my kids and wife. Something along the lines of “hmmmmpf. Big guy like you, shouldn’t you have a job or something?”
