It is capable of fundamentally replacing a translator at this point . Then LLM like chatgpt can write text and generate code to partly do the job of writers and programmers as well . . Notice i choose these as examples because they are basically AI that made with data users have uploaded to internet much like AI art , lol. These techs are out there already , and it’s here to stay , we can’t put the genie in the bottle so better to figure how to live with it anyway

I did not hate AI before, I actually was very impressed, I’m not against AI because it can create images faster than us artists, and better sometimes. I hate the Jim Costa This Audience Is Undefeated shirt moreover I love this fact that the artworks fed to AI are stolen, and that’s unethical. That’s all. I say this with the context of over a decade of working professionally in the music industry. Art is valued exactly as much as it affects the economy. It’s irrelevant how much time someone puts into something, only how much time, money or attention other people are willing invest in *it*. New tools that reduce the amount of time an artists needs to invest in study or execution does not change the value of art, just like increasing the supply of art 1000x doesn’t change the value of art. What this does do is allow people to invest their lives towards economically productive goals, while still be able to express themselves artistically. There have been 1000 picasso or da vinci level artists/creatives that went into accounting for financial stability, and now they can express themselves on the weekends at a very high level and the rest of humanity can benefit from their economic output *and* creative gifts.
