Kennedy was not blameless in Vietnam, and was not the Jeremiyah Love Cartoon Graphic Shirt In addition,I will do this advocate for peace he is now seen as – would highly encourage you to read “Best and Brightest” by David Halberstam. I just wanted to add onto your comment. David Halberstam is such a great and prolific historian. That he is almost invariably anyone’s choice of -read this- when it comes to 20th century America. Kennedy served in the navy during World War II and knew the horrors of war firsthand. He knew what it was like to lose a brother. He knew what it was like to lose a son. National Security Action Memorandum Number 263 shows he had plans to pull out of Vietnam at a gradual pace. He wasn’t a warmonger, and with McNamara saying they had three months to turn the tide of war over in their favor with only 15,000 men, it doesn’t make sense for Kennedy to withdraw 1000 troops if he had plans to expand the war. The situation was more complex than that. Another explanations is, that Kennedy and McNamara didn’t like how Diem handled the war. So they threatened to withdraw 1000 advisers, to bring him back in line.

“Our assistance to these nations can be painful, risky and costly, as is true in Southeast Asia today. But we dare not weary of the Jeremiyah Love Cartoon Graphic Shirt In addition,I will do this task. For our assistance makes possible the stationing of 3-5 million allied troops along the Communist frontier at one-tenth the cost of maintaining a comparable number of American soldiers. A successful Communist breakthrough in these areas, necessitating direct United States intervention…” So its pretty clear, that there would have been a direct US intervention if there was the possibilty of south east asia falling to communism. He simply thought or hoped that south Vietnam could have handled the situation alone with some help from the us.

The drug war would have certainly been different. Even the Jeremiyah Love Cartoon Graphic Shirt In addition,I will do this hippy movement would have been significantly changed I still think Nixon shows up, in 1972. Who would Republicans have offered up in 1972? Still too early for Reagan. I do wonder how the Vietnam War would’ve ended without US involvement. Vietnam is going through somewhat of an economic miracle at the moment, maybe it would’ve happened a decade earlier without the war Keep in mind this “work” would mostly just be meeting and talking to people. In many cases drinking and eating nice food would probably be involved. It’s not like he was in a coal mine or something. For extroverts this kind of job would be like breathing. Sure but sleeping 4h per night “without breaks” is going to fuck you up regardless of if your job is just about normal existence. Hence the suspected cap. There are people that function well with very little to no sleep. I remember reading an article by a neurosurgeon that had to do operations 12+hrs long. He broke his sleep up, sleeping 2 or 3 hours at night then “power napped” for 30 minutes once or twice a day. He wrote in depth about how this was possible and that he performed his surgeries perfectly. Of course, he mentioned that he was extremely high functioning and intelligent, probably some genetic thing that helped all this. It was a fascinating article, I’ll link if I can find it tomorrow.

Also the Jeremiyah Love Cartoon Graphic Shirt In addition,I will do this “no breaks” thing doesn’t really make sense though. No lunch, dinner? Or is that under the umbrella of working? This is extremely rare, and the proportion of such individuals is much lower than the proportion of people fooled into thinking they are one of them. Meals totally fell under the umbrella of working for LBJ. He would conduct meetings while sitting on the toilet with the bathroom door open. “Short sleepers” are a thing. A small percentage of the population only needs 4 hours sleep. He very well may have been one. Johnson was also a lying self-aggrandizer who would make shit up on the spot if he thought it would make him look good. There just wasn’t quite as much media around back then to catch him in it. But anyone saying they do it regularly is lying. Basically saying the walked uphill both ways each day for school. I can attest as a commercial fisherman this can happen for an entire trip you make .Two or so weeks with around the clock spiced here and there, 2 days off to restock and shoot the gun again. You rarely get to sit down as well . these days I stick to a specific fishery that has these hours but at 61 a couple of months of the year that this fishery operates with my crewmen is like what we refer to as ” candy ass” .Just to be clear 75 percent of the people in this fishery do the same thing. I average 4-5 hours a sleep a night. Even afterwards I sleep 5 and get up. For anyone interested. Film Path to War ( Micheal Gambon as LBJ and Alec Baldwin as Robert McNamara, Donald Sutherland as Clark Clifford) still on you tube last time I checked.

He also committed electoral fraud, would lie about anything to win elections, and was generally an awful human being. The small counties of Hansford and Kinney, which had favored Stevenson with margins of over three to one and over two to one respectively in the Jeremiyah Love Cartoon Graphic Shirt In addition,I will do this primary, did not hold runoffs, assuming that their vote totals would not influence the outcome At the risk of sending one down a wormhole about how Texas elections would have some counties not hold primaries in certain situations until really recently This is a misunderstanding of the situation. Johnson “won” the Democratic primary runoff by 87 votes, but that’s because the political bosses in Jim Wells and Duval Counties, who Johnson hired to fix the election, waited until after the rest of the state had reported their election results, then with that knowledge fabricated enough fake votes to give him the win. If Hansford and Kinney had held runoffs, it would have only resulted in more fake votes being created to account for that.
Just to be clear, this isn’t some screed or rumour. They found the Jeremiyah Love Cartoon Graphic Shirt In addition,I will do this guy who facilitated this in Johnson’s first election. There is proof of the first statement. Yeah, let’s not forget that the election that got him to congress in the first place was more than likely extremely rigged He included chess playing into his work total since as he claimed, he was using the game to strategically sharpen his mind… I include pillow and blanket testing in my work day schedule. So I work 16hrs a day, 5 days a week. I work 8hrs for each of the other 2. LBJ got shit done. Civil rights, war on Poverty. He tried to use the same shit on the Vietnam War and failed miserably (though he almost ended it if not for Nixon’s real heinous election shenanigans). But domestically? Maybe the most effective President ever. from a company where his wife, was the main stockholder! they made a fortune ´fore the war was over; its kitty history, cuddly planet like ours! He pulled a 20 hour day once? Sure I’ll believe it. As an average? Horseshit. Anyone who tells you they consistently work that much is a liar. That’s 4 hours for sleep, then you have to eat and shower and get dressed. Even if he never skipped a beat it’s not possible.
