People just can’t be trusted with toilet paper it’s a sensitive subject so not many people to talk about it. This makes it so that people never learn how to use toilet paper properly. But it’s not like people would only use one square as a gesture of respect if they went for a more expensive option. People have no respect for public-use items that are free like that, look how people treat condiment packets and napkins at McDonald’s. I can definitely see why companies cheap out on this stuff. It’s like three times longer than any normal loo roll. Almost like they expect you to fold or something? From the US so idk if the reasons the same in the UK, but I know at a restaurant I worked in there was a deal where my boss got hundreds of rolls of that for cheap af, like one roll would only be like $0.05 compared to two ply that would be closer to what normal people pay, so even though she knew people went through it twice as fast it didn’t really matter because it was less than half the cost. It was beige, shiny and non absorbent. In the last year at primary school, they finally replaced it with civilised toilet paper but after one day, the boy’s toilet ceilings were caked in pink wet bog roll so while the girls got to enjoy the luxurious softness of regular, non-barbarian toilet roll, the boys ended up with tracing paper once again! I remember it well, from the 70s, school toilet paper literally was grease proof paper, and it was far from delicate 🙁 That’s exactly what I was thinking! It was still the thing 80’s into 90’s, where I went. Actual, literal tracing paper! One piece of advice I was given when I was younger was, “You can judge how much a company values it’s employees by the quality of the toilet paper” I doubt it’s dunelm. If you’re already in the shop you don’t need to advertise yourself on the door to the shitter It is likely Dunelm because they’re advertising their website by suggesting it has more products to choose from than the store the reader is in.
