Even if what she said was true, you had proof that she had opened your mail AND that she knew it wasn’t hers. Just opening someone else’s mail is a federal crime last I checked What’s more annoying? Opportunistic package thieves? Or the Jaylen Warren Pittsburgh Hurdle shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this incompetent delivery drivers that can’t read the number plaque at a given address? If they were left at the wrong apartment by the delivery company, they are now the property of the person that lives at that apartment. If you receive an unsolicited package at your home, it is yours free to keep my law. This is to prevent people from shipping you items you didn’t order and then trying to make you pay for them. However, a good neighbor returns the package. An evil jerk keeps it. Unless of course it’s something really good. That’s only true when the name and address is actually that person’s on the package, i.e when the company sends the wrong thing to you. Otherwise people could go around stealing packages from doorsteps claiming it was left on theirs.

Same thing happened to me 2 days ago. Knocked on the Jaylen Warren Pittsburgh Hurdle shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this door sporadically for 5 minutes. Knew the piece of trash lady could hear me, because i could hear her. She didn’t open the door, so I went back inside to my house. Eventually went back outside and saw she put the package outside her door. Come to find, this dumb, idiot lady opened it (luckily all it was was a gatorade bottle). I have the opposite issue. My Amazon driver keeps dropping our neighbors packages at our door and I try walk it over to their house as quickly as possible. I think they think we take it and bring it back. I’m just nervous they’ll see me walking up with their package and accuse me of stealing it. People are criminals. U could tell the apartments. Or police. And tell amazon for sure. If its a ring cam they can review if fast Just file a claim with Amazon and get a refund or have them resend out the package. Whatever is in that bag is not worth get shot by a crackhead over.
