Yet, he’s absolutely against any and all gun regulations, and has on more than one occasion stated that he doesn’t care if people want to open-carry bazookas, because “it’s a people issue not a gun issue” Your dad is a nut when it comes to guns. Therefore, he is a gun nut. No rational person believes what you said your dad does. Maybe you missed the Jalen Hurts Philadelphia Eagles Shirt also I will do this point of him being a felon and not legally allowed to own a firearm. There is no law you can change. It’s already on the books. You’re missing the fact that a large supply and relatively easy access to legal firearms makes it much easier, sometimes even trivial, to illegally access firearms. There are felons in other countries who aren’t legally allowed to own firearms who unsurprisingly don’t have firearms because they aren’t easy to obtain.

Heck criminals in other countries probably hide their illegal guns better because they don’t want to be found with them. Okay, now what about the Jalen Hurts Philadelphia Eagles Shirt also I will do this next incident where a 100% legal gun owner leaves their gun out and their toddler shoots themselves? You might need to sit down for this next part: the law was not written for this one specific guy. Shocking, I know. Also, what about cases where it’s not a felon and just an irresponsible gun owner? No, what could have prevented this is if the 2-year-old had her own gun. If the girl already had her own gun, she might have left her dad’s gun alone. If she was still tempted to pick up his gun while having her own gun, then a 3rd gun could have been introduced. Maybe a pink one. You ever see a toddler try to hold THREE guns at once? Everyone who is saying this, are you suggesting we have more stringent gun control laws for tracking of the physical gun and sales? Because if you’re bringing it to try and argue about why the gun storage law is not good (which, by the way, it does not in any way support that argument), but you aren’t ALSO in favor of more stringent sales and control laws, then you’re just a hypocrite. Every time someone says “well it was illegal for the shooter to have the gun” I end up finding out that they got the gun from a family member or through straw sakes.
