If you towel off you lower body first without drying your upper body the water from up drips down and invalidates you earlier drying effort. I use different parts of the towel. Basically every towel has 3 part for me, head and shoulders, body and arms, legs and balls The remaining bacteria on my balls are battle-hardened, having resisted soap and scrubbing. If they take the magic carpet ride to my face, they will overpower and kill the face bacteria. It’s science.

I always wondered why it is weird for some people to use one towel for the whole body. After showering your whole body should be clean. Like do people not wash their butt cracks and balls or what? He just hung it up, let it dry out, and re-used it the next day. I’m not sure how often he actually did wash it, but I could smell that thing when I was in the same room. When he left I inherited it and it took two proper washes to remove the smell. That’s the problem right there. An old threadbare towel dries faster and is much less prone to getting stinky. I used to use big fluffy expensive towels and they’d start to stink pretty quick, now I use cheap beach towels and I wash them once in a while but not because they stink. After a shower, my entire body is clean. It’s all just clean, freshly washed skin. Doesn’t matter what order it gets dried in or what dries it, cause it’s all clean skin now I think it represents stuff like micro fiber towels to dry your hair without damaging it, not that they’re using 3 of the same type of towels
